How it works?

This feature is designed to help you manage and mitigate fraud risk by automatically canceling orders identified as high risk.

Once enabled, this feature will automatically cancel orders flagged as high risk due to detected fraud. You can customize its behavior with the following options:

  • Re-stock Inventory After Canceling: If you select this option, the inventory for canceled orders will be automatically restocked, ensuring your stock levels are always up to date.

  • Send Cancellation Confirmation Email to Customers: By ticking this option, customers will receive an email notification about the cancellation of their order, keeping them informed about the status of their purchase.

  • Send Cancellation Notice to Store Owners: This option sends an email notification to you (the store owner) whenever an order is auto-canceled due to high-risk fraud detection. This keeps you in the loop about fraudulent activity impacting your store.

Additional Information

  • Refund Payments: The default setting for refunds is "Later." We recommend reviewing the canceled orders in Blockify before processing any refunds. This ensures you handle refunds appropriately based on the order status and any further investigation needed.

How to Enable and Configure

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin and navigate to the Blockify app settings.

  2. Find the Auto-cancel High-Risk Orders feature on the Fraud Order Analytics tab.

  3. Enable the feature by toggling the switch.

  4. Select the desired options for inventory restocking, customer emails, and store owner notifications.

Note

  • In case you have enabled this feature in the paid plan but you decided to downgrade to a lower plan, this feature will be automatically set as inactive.

  • Data for the Fraud Order Score and Order type is provided by Shopify
